Energy
Trueform has excelled in delivering high quality, dependable civil engineering solutions to the UK energy sector. Our experience of industry’s technical and safety critical demands, has enabled us to support major clients including Metlen, H&MV, Statkraft and RWE in successfully delivering complex Civil projects on time, safely, and to exceptional standards.
We are commitment to doing things right the first time. This drives our teams to plan rigorously, coordinate effectively and execute efficiently, even in the most challenging and dynamic working environments. By maintaining this disciplined approach, we continually exceed our client’s expectations and reinforce our reputation as a trusted reliable partner.
During 2024–2025, Trueform delivered two major energy-sector projects concurrently, demonstrating our capability to manage large scale, multifaceted works while upholding rigorous quality and safety frameworks. These projects highlight the strength of our operational systems, workforce capability, the depth of our technical knowledge and our ability to adapt to evolving project demands.
A standout example of our capability is the Pembroke Synchronous Condenser Project, where our scope rapidly expanded, undertaking significantly more as the project progressed. To meet the increased workload trusted to Trueform, our management team scaled the project workforce to more than 70 operatives on this project alone, reflecting both our resource capacity and dynamic organisational resilience. Trueform covered the construction and delivery of all structures from slab level down for the project, including GIS and SYNCON foundations, transformer bases, 10-metre blast walls constructed with no construction joints, substructure pits, large reinforced concrete foundations, extensive casting works, full ducting systems, penetrations and waterproofing provisions.
A highlight for the Team was the installation of 10-metre blast walls constructed with no construction joints. Not the team’s biggest to date but a fantastic test of workforce capabilities, logistics, safety and our commitment to getting it right first time.
Despite the considerable increase in scope, the design challenges and the stringent safety requirements, Trueform not only achieved but surpassed client expectations. All Trueforms civil works undertaken were delivered within the agreed programme, demonstrating our ability to manage and complete high complexity civil engineering tasks to the pinnacle of industry standards.
Looking ahead, we continue to invest in our people and capabilities. Trueform has implemented a structured CPD programme to further enhance workforce expertise specifically for civil engineering in substation environments. This investment in our team ensures we remain at the forefront of industry best practice and that our clients benefit from a continuously improving, highly competent workforce.
